My "musical" journey
Hello everyone! I wanna tell you a little story of a boy who started showing interest towards music creation.
It all started i dont know when but i guess i was like 11 or 12, i saw my cousins doing something in fl studio 11 and i was shocked, they were making house music and it sounded cool af and ask them to get me this program. And since then i started learning. I dont think i got too far in music creation learning, but i tried i guess... So some time ago i discovered a folder full of fl studio projects and decided to check them out and how far i've got (not that far). The oldest survived project is from 2015.
2015
The oldest survived one. I remember being proud of this when i made it.
2016
Most of the projects are just little ideas i thought were cool, but all of them are not finished and stayed being ideas.
Oh this one is kinda cool, when i was making it i was thinking it would be a cool bossfight, it has an intro and loop section. Some time ago i sped it up, added breaks and it sounded cool actually.
2017
i dont know what to say about this, just a loop
uhhh... what the fuck? i dont remember anything about this
this file was called cool.flp
i tried to create a dubstep song, was following a tutorial, sounds finished... kinda
2018
idk what to say about this? i think i learned how to do note slides and did this thing. 3 years went through and i still dont know what genre i am doing.
this one is finished, just a piano piece, tbh damn.wav is still better. i called it "emotions"
this one is finished to and oh boy i was really proud of this, i still dont know what genre it is but i dont kinda care anymore, this one is called "endless theme"
damn i guess in 2018 i really tried to finish stuff (or i just deleted all of unfinished), this has name too! "traveling", idk why
2019
this is literally 3 random ideas in one file and i was goofin around
i tried to create a chiptune song
i dont know what i was trying to create but the drums are funny af
ok? just a little idea again and nothing more
that is literally All Star by Smashmouth, im not kidding, i downloaded midi and replaced instruments
one day i found a program that can create chiptune music by random using hashes, it can export to midi so i did it and replaced instruments again, kinda cool program, but the author stopped updating it so it barely works now.
what the fuck. sounds bizzare. that piano riff is kinda cool idk
2020
found a free guitar vst so i tested it by creating this
huh, wuh
2021
i think i was trying to create a song
a piano piece, was experimenting with da dun dun dun dun da dun dun dun
Everything 2022 and after is in "my music" tab, so if you wanna listen to it just go there. I don't know why i shared all of this with you, this music is shit, i think i just wanted to see how far i've got in music. Considering this i am really fucking surprised why i didnt gave up at this point holy shit that is bad. Uhhh idk what to say next, i didnt gave up yet so today's lesson is "dont give up even if youre still bad after 7 years"... yeah. gnite.
BONUS
while exporting some of projects were corrupted with artifacts i dont know why, here they are
the 2015 one, sample in the middle is stuttering for some reason
the dubstep one, lead instrument sounds off, not wobbly
"traveling": wobbly thing aint wobbly for some reason
